When studying the Andalusian languages, it must be considered, as is evident, that not all phenomena, despite being the majority essentially Andalusian, they have the same degree of extension or acceptance by the speakers themselves, rather, they are reduced to certain contexts or situations. Even so, there are cases in which, despite the rejection by the standard norm of a certain variety or phenomenon, its speakers welcome it as something vernacular and identity. This paper analyses the phonetic phenomenon of heheo from the point of view of hidden prestige within the Granada town of Loja, where this trend seems to occur. Based on a sociolinguistic study taking as reference the survey model of the Project for the study of beliefs and attitudes towards varieties of Spanish in the XXI century (hereinafter PRECAVES XXI) it will be possible to obtain interesting data about a realization that, traditionally, has been understood as marginal and stigmatized.
