María Luisa Elío fue una pionera en abordar la experiencia en torno a la Guerra Civil española y el exilio republicano en sus textos fílmicos, literarios y autobiográficos. Tiempo de llorar es el relato de su retorno imposible desde México a Pamplona, treinta años después de su marcha forzosa. En este trabajo, demostramos que, en dicha obra, la configuración topológica atiende a una dimensión no únicamente política, sino también emocional que determina la escritura particular de Elío. A este respecto, la teoría crítica del espacio que se dio con las teorías posestructuralistas será fundamental para el análisis.
María Luisa Elío was a pioneer in addressing the experience of the Spanish Civil War and the Republican exile in her film, literary and autobiographical texts. Tiempo de llorar is the story of her impossible return from Mexico to Pamplona, thirty years after her forced departure. In this paper, we demonstrate that, in said work, the topological configuration attends to a dimension not only political, but also emotional that determines Elío's particular writing. In this regard, the critical theory of space that came with post-structuralist theories will be fundamental for the analysis.
