Resumen: El objetivo del presente artículo consiste en realizar un acercamiento al modo en que es representado el nativo indígena en la novela El tungsteno de César Vallejo. Se opera con la hipótesis de que el narrador instrumentaliza una visión negativa y poco edificante de los soras a partir de la descripción de la comunidad nativa delineada en la novela. Así, en la novela, se incide en una concepción primitivista de la sociedad que convive, en el tiempo, con las demandas del sistema capitalista y con las del cambio social, de acuerdo con el esquema revolucionario del pensamiento comunista, presente en el texto. Se brinda un esquema teórico con el fin de responder a cuestiones relacionadas con el tipo de perspectiva político-filosófica que anima la representación del nativo.
Abstract: The objective of this article is to take an approach to the way in which the native and the Indian are represented in the novel El tungsteno by César Vallejo. We start from the hypothesis that in the novel primitivist conceptions of society coexist with the demands of revolutionary social change. We are also interested in answering questions related to the type of political-philosophical conception that animates the representation of the native and the indigenous and whether we are facing a narrative that seeks to represent the horizon of primitive communism through the idea of the "good savage" to precipitate the class contradictions in the novel.
