Este artículo hace una revisión crítica de la literatura sobre rebeliones indígenas en los Andes que ha marcado el derrotero de los debates y de las agendas vigentes. Propongo esta revisión como un punto de partida para repensar las formas en las que se teoriza y se interpreta estas revueltas, y para reconocer la centralidad del impacto de los repertorios de movilización regionales a nivel global. Parto de la producción sobre rebeliones entre 1970 y 1990, para finalmente destacar la literatura más reciente, marcada por la agenda establecida en la etapa previa pero signada además por nuevas preguntas en torno a la naturaleza de lo político, los vínculos entre lo material y lo cultural y la agencia subalterna.
This article provides a critical revision of the literature dealing with indigenous rebellions in the Andes, which has set the pace for the current debates and agendas. I put forth this revision as a starting point to rethink the ways in which these revolts are theorized and interpreted, and to recognize the central role that the impact of regional mobilizations holds globally. I start from the bibliography on rebellions between 1970 and 1990, to later highlight more recent literature. This recent literature has been marked by the agenda established in the previous stage, and further denoted by new questions around the nature of the political sphere, and the links between the material and the cultural ones, as well as the subaltern agency.
