Pandemia e Imigrantes: Brasileiros na Área Metropolitana de Lisboa

    The study aims to analyze the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic on the lives of Brazilian workers who immigrated to the Lisbon Metropolitan Area, in Portugal. Qualitative research methodology was used, followed by the analysis of nineteen semi-structured interviews, with theoretical support from secondary sources on the subject. The results found show that the pandemic caused practical implications on the lives of Brazilian immigrants residing in the Lisbon Metropolitan Area, notably of an emotional and financial nature.

    O estudo analisa os impactos da pandemia de Covid-19 na vida dos trabalhadores brasileiros que imigraram para a Área Metropolitana de Lisboa, em Portugal. Fez-se uso da metodologia de pesquisa qualitativa, através da realização e sucessiva análise de 19 entrevistas semiestruturadas, com o apoio teórico de fontes secundárias sobre o tema. Os resultados encontrados demonstram que a pandemia gerou efeitos práticos na vida dos imigrantes brasileiros residentes na Área Metropolitana de Lisboa, notadamente de ordem emocional e financeira.
