Este trabajo analiza la relación entre masturbación y creación literaria tomando como referencia las memorias y algunos poemas de Carlos Barral. Para ello, también se tienen en cuenta textos de otros autores, que vivieron la represión franquista al igual que Barral o simplemente dieron un sentido propio a esa búsqueda del placer íntimo que implica el autoerotismo. De este modo, se pretenden estudiar las formas en que subjetividad literaria y sexual se retroalimentan entre sí, en una época marcada por la censura y el silencio.
This paper analyses the relationship between masturbation and literary creation, taking as a reference the memoirs and some poems by Carlos Barral. For this purpose, it also considers texts by other authors, who lived through Franco's repression just like Barral or simply gave their own meaning to the search for intimate pleasure implied by autoeroticism. The essay aims to study the ways in which literary and sexual subjectivity feed back into each other, in an era marked by censorship and silence.
