In this paper, I adress the representation of the collocational information in a formal lexicon. The concept of collocation is defined in the framework of the Meaning-Text Theory, and more precisely, in the Explanatory Combinatorial Dictionary (ECD). I apply the lexical co-occurrence inheritance technique proposed by Melcuk & Wanner (1996) to avoid repeating the same information about recurrent collocates in the lexical entries for a group of emotion nouns. The technique consists of extracting redundant information from the individual lexical entries and list together with their semantic constraints in the entry for the generic lexeme of the semantic field under study. Lastly, I sketch the application of the lexical co-ocurrence inheritance to a possible multilingual lexicon.
