    The sainet type comedies are traditional works of the culture of Valencia. These popular plays have typical features, including the reproduction of an oral and colloquial language and the recreation of a really specific variety of the language.

    In this ess ay we deal with the detection of the critical units of translation of the sainet type comedy of Alcoy named La guapeta d’Alcassares, we propose the translation of this units into spanish and we analyse the reason of the difficulties implied in translation.

    Els sainets tenen una gran tradició en la cultura valenciana. Aquestes obres de teatre popular tenen unes característiques pròpies, entre les quals es troba la reproducció de la llengua oral col·loquial, fet que implica també la representació d'una varieta t molt concreta de la llengua. En aquest treball ens centrarem en la detecció de les unitats crítiques de traducció que presenta el sainet alcoià La guapeta d'Alacassares , proposarem la seua traducció al castellà i descriurem la causa de les dificultats qu e implica la traducció.
