El soneto 112 de las Rimas de Lope de Vega constituye un alarde de ingenio y de habilidad poética por parte del autor, pues combina con agudeza versos de ocho autores distintos en cuatro lenguas diferentes (cuyas referencias añade puntualmente Lope) y les da cierto sentido. En este artículo se analiza en detalle el texto del soneto, con la intención de rastrear qué ediciones de los distintos poetas pudo haber manejado Lope y estudiar en qué medida, a partir de esas fuentes, se puede revisar y enmendar el texto del soneto
Sonnet 112 of Lope de Vega’sRimas demonstrates the author’s in-genuity and poetic skill, as it artfully integrates and makes coherent verses drawn from eight different poets in four distinct languages, with the references meticu-lously provided by Lope. This article offers a detailed analysis of the sonnet, exam-ining the editions of the various authors that Lope may have consulted and exploring the extent to which these potential sources contribute to revising and emending the text of the sonnet
