Muchas son las obras literarias contemporáneas que emplean personajes históricos o literarios clásicos o medievales como andamiaje para crear obras literarias novedosas, que revisitan el pasado desde los ojos del presente, actualizándolo para resaltar su vigencia e interés en la actualidad. Este proceso de intertextualidad literaria se pone de manifiesto de forma muy marcada en obras literarias de carácter histórico. En este sentido, la obra completa de Magdalena Lasala se ha volcado en esta temática, principalmente en la novela, lo que la ha convertido en una de las principales exponentes de literatura histórica actual.
En la presente investigación, nos planteamos analizar la obra teatral Doña Jimena (2008) para analizar cuáles son los procesos de transformación intertextual que sufre el personaje literario medieval en la obra de la autora aragonesa. El análisis se centrará en descubrir los mecanismos literarios por los cuales el personaje medieval se presenta como una mujer anacrónicamente feminista e intentaremos concluir cuál es el sentido ideológico último de la obra
There are many contemporary literary works that use classic or medieval historical or literary characters as scaffolding to create novel literary works, which revisit the past through the eyes of the present, updating it to highlight its validity and interest today. This process of literary intertextuality is evident in a very marked way in literary works of a historical nature. In this sense, Magdalena Lasala’s entire work has focused on this theme, mainly in the novel, which has made her one of the main exponents of current historical literature. In this paper, we propose to analyze the play Doña Jimena (2008) to analyze the processes of intertextual transformation that the medieval literary character undergoes in the work of the aragonese author. The analysis will focus on discovering the literary mechanisms by which the medieval character is presented as an anachronistically feminist woman and we will try to conclude what the ultimate ideological meaning of the work is
