Las tendencias en la enseñanza del español en cuanto a las variables diatópicas han tenido un cambio significativo en todo el mundo, gracias a la evolución de la tecnología, los enfoques, procesos y métodos de enseñanza, políticas panhispánicas y la razón por la que una persona estudia este idioma, lo que ha llamado la atención de los investigadores lingüísticos, que enseñan español en el mundo. De allí que se tenga como objetivo de esta investigación mostrar la producción científica respecto a las tendencias de opinión en los procesos de enseñanza-aprendizaje de las variables diatópicas en el aula de Ele indexada en Scielo, Dialnet plus, Redalyc.org, dialnet.unirioja.es, Researchgate.net, y Google Académico, Se utilizó el análisis temático para analizar las opiniones de investigadores lingüísticos. De los seis artículos analizados, se encontró que en los últimos 7 años todas las producciones muestran acuerdo en la necesidad de su enseñanza en el aula de Ele, evidenciándose esta tendencia en países europeos, asiáticos y americanos y los temas emergentes fueron: panhispanismo, pluricéntrico, modelo de enseñanza, norma y valoración.
The teaching of Spanish in the face of varieties of Spanish has undergone a significant change worldwide, thanks to developments in technology, approaches, didactic paradigms, teaching processes and methods, The panhispanic policies and the reason why a person studies this language, which has caught the attention of linguistic researchers who teach Spanish in the world. Hence, the importance of investigating attitudes towards teaching them in the ELE classroom. This is why the objective of this research is to investigate the attitude of teachers at the university of Baghdad in relation to teaching diatopic variations of Spanish in the ELE classroom. To this end, specific literature was reviewed for more than two decades and a questionnaire was applied to teachers, then the data obtained by means of descriptive statistics were analyzed, representing them in percentages using circular graphs, to conclude most ELE teachers at the University of Baghdad believe that standard Spanish is the only legitimate, correctand prestigious variety, considering other variants incorrect and that in addition to teaching them the language is fragmented. The European Commission has published a report on the European Community’s training and education policy in the field of vocational training. This will allow us to reflect and change the paradigm about what and how to teach them in the classroom and finally, although teachers value teaching variations of Spanish and believe they are capable of doing so, limit themselves to using standard Spanish because they think that teaching variations lacks prestige and could affect the unity of the language
