Este artículo propone una lectura crítica de la novela Después de la ira de Cristian Romero desde las perspectivas del Giro rural latinoamericano y la distopía. La obra narra la historia de una comunidad marginada por fenómenos como la corrupción, la contaminación, el desplazamiento forzado y el ecocidio. El estudio examina los temas centrales de la novela y su representación en la trama a través de las acciones narrativas. Asimismo, se aborda el simbolismo de la langosta, que en la diégesis adquiere connotaciones esenciales que ilustran la significación de la obra. Finalmente, el análisis resalta la importancia de la novela en la narrativa latinoamericana contemporánea, al explorar la relación entre ruralidad, distopía y resistencia. Este enfoque permite ofrecer una interpretación renovada de los conflictos territoriales en la literatura, subrayando su pertinencia para comprender las dinámicas actuales de opresión y desarraigo en América Latina.
This article offers a critical reading of Cristian Romero's novel Después de la ira through the perspectives of the Latin American rural Turn and dystopia. The novel tells the story of a community marginalized by phenomena such as corruption, pollution, forced displacement, and ecocide. The study examines the central topics of the novel and their representation in the plot through narrative actions. Additionally, it explores the symbolism of the locust, which acquires essential connotations in the diegesis, illustrating the novel’s broader significance. Finally, the analysis highlights the significance of the novel within the framework of contemporary Latin American literature, by examining its exploration of the interplay between rurality, dystopia, and resistance. This approach offers a renewed interpretation of territorial conflicts in literature, highlighting their pertinence for understanding the current dynamics of oppression and displacement in Latin America.
