El otoño de las rosas es uno de los libros más importantes de Francisco Brines. En este trabajo se acudirá a algunos de los poemas que conforman este poemario para evaluar su simbología en clave de irracionalismo poético —siguiendo las tesis de Carlos Bousoño (1977). Tres ejes de símbolos fundamentales se presentarán: luz vs. oscuridad; estatismo vs. dinamismo; pasado vs. presente. El objetivo último del trabajo es clarificar algunas claves de la poesía del valenciano para facilitar futuros trabajos de literatura comparada con poetas posteriores que habitualmente han referido la influencia del de Oliva en sus poéticas.
El otoño de las rosas is one of Francisco Brines’ most important books. In this work we will have a look at some of the poems that make up this long collection of poems in order to evaluate their symbolism in terms of poetic irrationalism —following the thesis of Carlos Bousoño (1977). Three fundamental axes of symbols will be presented: light vs. darkness; statism vs. movement; past vs. present. The ultimate aim of the work is to clarify some of the keys to the Valencian poet's poetry in order to facilitate future works of comparative literature with later poets who have usually referred to the influence of Oliva in their poetics.
