Después de la formación del cristianismo y creación del Nuevo Testamento, la nueva religión junto con la literatura que la acompaña entra en nueva fase. La creencia en el inminente fin del mundo se transforma en la necesidad de vivir en el mundo y, finalmente, el cristianismo ocupará el lugar de la religión oficial del estado. Pero, simultáneamente, el Estado Romano en el Occidente junto con la sociedad en general se está desintegrando y eso provoca nuevas reflexiones sobre las cuestiones fundamentales sobre la interpretación de los acontecimientos caóticos de la Antigüedad tardía
After the formation of Christianity and the creation of the New Testament, the new religion, along with its accompanying literature, entered a new phase. The belief in the imminent end of the world transformed into the need to live in the world, and eventually, Christianity took its place as the official state religion. But at the same time, the Roman state in the West, along with society in general, was disintegrating, prompting new reflections on the fundamental questions surrounding the interpretation of the chaotic events of Late Antiquity.
