En el artículo se profundiza en las modificaciones realizadas por los censores en las ediciones de libros de caballerías españoles publicados en Lisboa a finales del siglo xvi: Lisuarte de Grecia (1587), Amadís de Grecia (1596) y Primaleón (1598). Se analizan los cambios introducidos, arrojando luz sobre el funcionamiento de la censura en Lisboa en ese período, las diferencias entre las prácticas censorias españolas y portuguesas, así como sobre los cambios de criterio de los censores sucesivos. Se destaca la particular atención de los censores portugueses hacia los pasajes con contenido erótico, reflejando la sensibilidad moral influenciada por las reglas tridentinas.
The article examines the changes made by censors to the editions of Spanish romances of chivalry published in Lisbon at the end of the 16th century: Lisuarte de Grecia (1587), Amadís de Grecia (1596) and Primaleón (1598). The changes introduced are analysed in detail, shedding light on the functioning of censorship in Lisbon in that period, the differences between Spanish and Portuguese censorship practices, as well as the changes in the criteria of successive censors. It highlights the particular attention of Portuguese censors to passages with erotic content, reflecting the moral sensibility influenced by Tridentine rules.
