Uno de los rasgos característicos del discurso de la derecha libertaria argentina es la proliferación de frases breves, memorizables y ritualmente repetidas que movilizan las pasiones y convicciones de los seguidores. Su abordaje resulta necesario en tanto son centrales en la configuración del ethos político del presidente argentino Javier Milei. En este artículo, las estudiamos como “frases sin texto” (Maingueneau, 2012) y sostenemos que su carácter fuertemente ritualizado y su apoyo en los discursos constituyentes de la ciencia económica y la religión acercan la figura de Milei a la de un predicador o profeta.
One of the characteristic features of the Argentine libertarian right’s discourse is the proliferation of short, memorable and ritually repeated phrases that mobilize the passions and convictions of its fo-llowers. Their approach is necessary because they are central to shaping the political ethos of Argen-tine President Javier Milei. In this article, we study them as “phrases without text” (Maingueneau, 2012) and argue that their highly ritualized nature and their support in the constituent discourses of economics and religion make Milei more like a preacher or prophet.
