En este artículo se realiza un análisis cualitativo de alcance descriptivo sobre la traducción de la intertextualidad en el subtitulado en español europeo y en español latinoamericano de la primera temporada de la serie Wednesday. Para llevar a cabo el estudio, se han seleccionado dos elementos que resultan de gran interés traductológico: los nombres propios y los referentes culturales a través de los que se manifiesta dicha intertextualidad. Así, se han revisado las aportaciones teóricas sobre los elementos seleccionados para profundizar en su análisis. En este, se han explorado las soluciones propuestas por las dos variantes del habla hispana para respetar la intertextualidad y mantener o hallar equivalentes de los referentes culturales que aparecen en la versión original. Los resultados obtenidos muestran las similitudes y las divergencias entre el español europeo y el español latinoamericano.
In this article, a qualitative, descriptive analysis of the intertextuality translation in the European Spanish and Latin American Spanish subtitling of the first season of the TV series Wednesday has been performed. To carry out the study, two elements of considerable translatological interest were selected: proper names and intertextuality that includes cultural references. Thus, the theoretical contributions on the selected elements have been examined in order to perform a detail analysis. We have explored the solutions proposed by the two Spanish variants to respect intertextuality and maintain or find equivalents of the cultural references that appear in the original version. The results obtained show the similarities and divergences between European Spanish and Latin American Spanish.
