Se necesita una mayor observación en la interacción entre el peligro presente en la guerra de Afganistán y los intérpretes ad hoc para delimitar el ejercicio de sus funciones. Su participación es decisiva en la resolución del conflicto, aunque también arbitraria dada su pertenencia sociocultural. Con el presente estudio de caso se pretende dilucidar la gestión del riesgo en el intérprete ad hoc, además de los patrones de comportamiento que genera. Para ello, se realiza una entrevista de corte cualitativo cuyo fin es el de aportar datos empíricos para ser codificados temáticamente. Los datos arrojan la existencia de factores determinantes en la gestión del peligro material y cultural en Afganistán. Finalmente, se concluye la presencia de complejas dinámicas de comportamiento accionadas mediante mecanismos de evitación que distancian la implicación del intérprete en el discurso y que cristalizan en un código deontológico propio. Dado lo intricado del comportamiento, se reitera la importancia del estudio de la figura del intérprete ad hoc como una figura híbrida singular que adolece de una mayor pormenorización.
Further observation is needed in the interaction between the existing danger in the Afghan War and the ad hoc interpreters to demarcate the performance of their role. However, their contribution is crucial in the resolution of the conflict, but also arbitrary given their sociocultural affiliation. This case study aims to elucidate the jeopardy management in the ad hoc interpreter, as well as the behavioral patterns they create. Hence, a qualitative interview is conducted to provide empirical data in order to be codified thematically. The existence of determining factors in the management of material and cultural danger in Afghanistan is displayed by the data. Finally, the presence of complex behavioral dynamics is concluded to be triggered by avoidance mechanisms that distance their involvement in the discourse and crystallize in their own code of ethics. Given the intricate nature of the behavior, the importance of an exhaustive review of the ad hoc interpreter as a singular hybrid figure is reiterated.
