Dealt with here in some detail, Henry Sullivan’s magnum opus, Calderón in the German Lands and the Low Countries: His Reception and Influence, 1654–1980 (Cambridge: Cambridge U. P., 1983) has proved to be an indispensable source of knowledge and inspiration for all scholars of Early Modern European theatre.
