Resumen de «El Día De Lima»: relación de las festividades y loa en honor de Fernando VI de España en Lima (1748)

  Este artículo analiza la loa representada en el palacio virreinal de Lima el 16 de febrero de 1748, cuyo objetivo fue celebrar oficialmente la coronación de Fernando VI como rey de España. Se complementa este análisis con el estudio de la relación de la festividad, contenida en el impreso limeño El día de Lima (1748), en el cual figura el virrey José Antonio Manso de Velasco, conde de Superunda, como restaurador de la ciudad y alter ego del Rey tras el terremoto de 28 de octubre de 1746.

  This article analyzes the dramatic prologue performed in the viceregal palace of Lima on February 16, 1748, which aimed to officially celebrate the coronation of Ferdinand VI as King of Spain. This analysis is complemented by the study of the report of the festivity, included in the Lima print El día de Lima (1748), in which the figure of the viceroyJosé Antonio Manso de Velasco, Count of Superunda, is presented as the restorer of the city and the King’s alter ego after the earthquake of October 28, 1746.
