El mundo del vino despierta un interés creciente como queda patente en los numerosos trabajos académicos que se publican al respecto en la actualidad. Podríamos decir que la vid y el vino son tan antiguos como la aparición del hombre y el posterior desarrollo de la agricultura y su subsiguiente evolución. La necesidad de dar nombre a lo desconocido, en este y otros ámbitos, propició la creación de un léxico que ha ido ampliándose con el trascurso de los años, haciéndose eco de nuevas formas de trabajar la vid y cultivar la uva, de elaborar el vino o de conservarlo para su consumo o comercialización. Este léxico se recogía en vocabularios o en diversos documentos (tratados o libros sobre vitivinicultura). Habrá que esperar hasta la elaboración del Diccionario de autoridades (1726-1739), el primer diccionario académico que marcará el comienzo de la lexicografía académica en español, para encontrar esas voces entre las 42500 entradas que figuran en dicho diccionario. Los seis volúmenes del DA van a servirnos para recopilar, analizar y clasificar las voces recogidas en él en torno a la vitivinicultura y para poder llevar a cabo un estudio que nos permita conocer cuántas y cuáles son esas voces específicas, muchas de las cuales forman parte de la terminología vitivinícola actual.
The world of wine arouses a growing interest as is evident in the numerous academic works currently published on the subject. We could say that the vine and wine are as old as the appearance of man and the subsequent development of agriculture and its subsequent evolution. The need to give a name to the unknown, in this and other fields, led to the creation of a lexicon that has been expanding over the years, echoing new ways of working the vine and cultivating grapes, making wine or preserving it for consumption or commercialization. This lexicon was collected in vocabularies or in various documents (treatises or books on viticulture). We will have to wait until the elaboration of the Diccionario de autoridades (1726-1739), the first academic dictionary that will mark the beginning of academic lexicography in Spanish, to find these words among the 42 500 entries that appear in this dictionary. The six volumes of the DA will help us to compile, analyze and classify the entries on viticulture and to carry out a study that will allow us to know how many and which are those specific words, many of which are part of the current viticultural terminology.
