This essay focuses on three medular figures in Nuestra parte de noche by the argentinian writer Mariana Enriquez: the Order, the Darkness and the medium. From a posthumanist critical framework, I analize the relationships that these three entities stablish between themselves and with the world through technoscientific practices of global domination, as well as esoteric and monstrous ones to examine how those practices determine the bodies and matter that are integrated within their specific differentiation aparatuses. The cuts made on bodily matter produce ontologic transformations that, in the medium’s case, will result in an indeterminated enunciation point, whose instability will open the doors to a possibility of resistance. This perspective studies a different lense to interpret Nuestra parte de noche outside of horror, fantasy or dictatorial processes, to complement the existent critical corpus around Enriquez’s work.
