El objetivo de este trabajo es presentar una lectura de dos cuentos de Rosario Castellanos, “Lección de cocina” y “Domingo”, de la colección Álbum de familia, publicada en 1971, partiendo de la hipótesis de que la autora, por un lado, desenmascara la puesta en escena de las construcciones sociales patriarcales y, por otro, teatraliza su escritura, para crear textos que, junto a la inmediatez de la representación, alcanzan también una complejidad funcional para definir el papel de la mujer intelectual en el México de los años sesenta y setenta. Se investigan las estrategias literarias implementadas, como el rigor descriptivo y el distanciamiento irónico de sus personajes que, instalados en dos escenarios distintos, la cocina y la sala de la casa, impugnan o avalan la distribución del espacio y la construcción de la identidad.
The aim of this paper is to present a reading of two stories by Rosario Castellanos, “Lección de cocina” and “Domingo”, from the collection Álbum de familia, published in 1971, based on the hypothesis that the author, on the one hand, unmasks the staging of patriarchal social constructions and, on the other, theatricalizes her writing, to create texts that, together with the immediacy of representation, also reach a functional complexity to define the role of the intellectual woman in Mexico in the sixties and seventies. The literary strategies implemented are investigated, such as the descriptive rigor and the ironic distancing of her characters who, installed in two different scenarios, the kitchen and the living room of the house, contest or endorse the distribution of space and the construction of identity.
