El artículo aborda la representación de los espacios del exilio en la vida y en la obra de Silvia Mistral, autora española nacida en Cuba y exiliada en México tras la guerra civil española. A partir de una aproximación biográfica, que permite comprender las razones que determinaron el escaso conocimiento de su producción y su visión de la patria, se exploran la construcción y el significado de los lugares de tránsito de la diáspora masiva de 1939, descritos en Éxodo. Diario de una refugiada española, importante testimonio del destierro femenino, donde la narradora proyecta su drama personal en el marco colectivo del pueblo español. The article deals with the representation of exile spaces in the life and work of Silvia Mistral, a Spanish author born in Cuba and exiled in Mexico after the Spanish Civil War. Starting from a biographical approach, which explains the reasons that determined the scarce knowledge of her production and her vision of the homeland, it explores the construction and meaning of the transit places of the massive diaspora of 1939, described in Éxodo.
