En el año 1925 dos obras resultaron ganadoras del Premio Nacional de Literatura: Marinero y tierra de Rafael Alberti y Versos humanos de Gerardo Diego. En este artículo realizaremos un estudio comparativo de ambos poemarios para mostrar rasgos comunes de dos autores que representan a la perfección la esencia de la Generación del 27. Mostraremos la influencia de la lírica tradicional y popular en varios de los poemas, así como los temas recurrentes (el mar, la muerte o el amor). En cuanto al estilo ambos poetas combinan tradición y vanguardia y tienen influencia de otras artes, que también son elementos definitorios de esta brillante generación poética.
In 1925, two works won the Spanish National Literature Prize, Marinero en tierra by Rafael Alberti and Versos humanos by Gerardo Diego. In this article we will make a comparative study of both collections of poems to highlight the common features of two authors who perfectly represent the essence of the Generation of 1927. We will show the influence of traditional and popular lyric poetry in several of the poems, as well as recurring themes (the sea, death and love). In terms of style, both poets combine tradition and the avant-garde and they are influenced by other arts, which are also defining elements of this brilliant poetic generation.
