O obxectivo desta investigación foi a revisión e o incremento do material toponímico da parroquia de Baredo (Baiona, Pontevedra) presente en Galicia Nomeada, froito na súa meirande parte do Proxecto Toponimia de Galicia. Igualmente, este traballo tamén se prestou para a recolección doutro patrimonio inmaterial asociado á toponimia e, evidentemente, para fortalecer e valorar os vencellos sociais coa familia e coa veciñanza. Á par disto, os topónimos rexistrados foron estudados e clasificados semanticamente e, nalgúns casos concretos, tamén etimoloxicamente. Para iso, foi necesario acudir ás fontes tanto orais coma escritas.
The objective of this research was to review and expand the toponymic material from the parish of Baredo (Baiona, Pontevedra) present in Galicia Nomeada, largely the result of the Proxecto Toponimia de Galicia. This work also served to compile other intangible heritage associated with toponymy and, of course, to strengthen and highlight social ties with the family and the neighbourhood. At the same time, the toponyms were studied and classified semantically and, in some specific cases, also etymologically. This required resorting to both oral and written sources.
