Las reflexiones sobre las denominaciones de los meses de uso habitual en euskera han sido realizadas por algunos autores desde una perspectiva lingüística y antropológica. Ante un tema tan arraigado y común en la cultura vasca, e intrigados por saber de dónde provienen dichas denominaciones, mucha gente ha hecho pública su opinión de una u otra manera, a menudo inadecuadamente, al no utilizar las herramientas apropiadas para ello. Con el fin de dar una acertada estructuración y claridad a este interesante tema, el autor propone utilizar la metodología etnolingüística, combinando léxico y cultura, inevitablemente elementos de interacción mutua.

Euskal kulturan hain kontu sustraitua eta arrunta izanda, nondik ote datozen izendapenak jakin nahian, jende askok plazaratu izan du bere iritzia era batera edo bestera, sarritan gisa desegokian, behar bezalako tresnarik erabili ez baitu. Gai interesgarri honi taxuzko egituraketa eta argia emateko xedez, egileak metodologia etnolinguistikoaz baliatzea proposatu du, lexikoa eta kultura uztartuz, ezinbestez elkarri eragiten baitiote.
Some authors have made reflections from linguistic and anthropological perspectives about the names traditionally used for months in Basque. Given that this is such a deeply rooted and everyday matter in Basque culture, many people have expressed their opinions in one way or another, often inappropriately, as they have not used the proper tools. With the aim of giving this interesting topic a clear and structured treatment, the author proposes the use of an ethnolinguistic methodology, combining lexicon and culture, since they inevitably influence each other.
D’un point de vue linguistique et anthropologique, certains auteurs ont réfléchi aux dénominations des mois habituellement consacrés à la langue basque. Une question si enracinée et commune dans la culture basque, qui cherche à savoir d’où viennent les dénominations, a amené beaucoup de gens à exprimer leur opinion d’une manière ou d’une autre, souvent d’une manière inappropriée, n’ayant pas utilisé les outils nécessaires. Afin de donner une structuration et une clarté adéquates à ce sujet intéressant, l’auteur propose d’utiliser la méthodologie ethnolinguistique, en combinant lexique et culture, qui interagissent inévitablement.
