En las últimas décadas, ha experimentado un desarrollo considerable el estudio de ciertas estructuras lingüísticas, del tipo de y tal, y eso, o cosas así, ni nada o etcétera, que, por su carácter plurifuncional, se utilizan para cerrar unidades informativas o estructurales, pero, además, suelen cumplir determinadas funciones pragmáticas. Uno de los aspectos menos trabajados en relación con estos elementos discursivos es la variación condicionada por factores sociales y geográficos. Con la pretensión de profundizar en el conocimiento de tales recursos, de las funciones que cumplen y de la incidencia que tienen en su uso algunos factores sociales y geolectales, estamos llevando a cabo una investigación sociopragmática, en el marco del Proyecto para el Estudio Sociolingüístico del Español de España y América (PRESEEA), que está permitiendo documentar patrones de comportamiento generales y variables. En esta ocasión, nos centramos en el estudio de las expresiones de cierre introducidas por la conjunción y. Hemos analizado, cualitativa y cuantitativamente, su empleo en una muestra de interacciones semidirigidas del corpus PRESEEA-Madrid, con objeto de establecer variables y variantes relevantes para su investigación y conocer patrones sociolingüísticos de la capital española.
In recent decades, there has been considerable development in the study of certain linguistic structures –such as y tal, y eso, o cosas así, ni nada, and etcétera– which, due to their multifunctional nature, are used to close informational or structural units and also tend to fulfill specific pragmatic functions. One of the less explored aspects of these discourse elements is the variation influenced by social and geographical factors. To deepen the knowledge of these linguistic resources, their functions, and the influence of social and geolectal factors on their use, a sociopragmatic investigation is currently being carried out within the framework of the Project for the Sociolinguistic Study of Spanish from Spain and America (PRESEEA). This research allows us to document both general and variable behavioral patterns. On this occasion, the focus is on the study of closing expressions introduced by the conjunction y. A qualitative and quantitative analysis of their use in a sample of semi-guided interactions from the PRESEEA-Madrid corpus has been conducted in order to identify relevant variables and variants for their study and to understand sociolinguistic patterns in the Spanish capital.
