Se analiza en este trabajo la labor de algunos intelectuales italianos con respecto a la fase final del salazarismo, centrándose primeramente en los años sesenta del siglo xx, con la figura central de Joyce Lussu, entre otros, y su atención dedicada a las voces poéticas africanas que contribuyeron a desmoronar el régimen luso. Tras esta primera etapa de especial relevancia, se pasará al análisis de la fase sucesiva, hasta el precipitarse de los hechos que culminan con el 25 de abril de 1974 y que marcan un cambio generacional en las figuras italianas implicadas, con el relevo de los que fueron herederos de la resistencia antifascista en favor de unos jóvenes pertenecientes a las nuevas izquierdas. Se cierne en este giro la voz pesimista de Pier Paolo Pasolini, cuya lectura de la Revolución de los Claveles nos interroga de manera imprevista y sombría.
This paper analyzes the work of some Italian intellectuals with respect to the final phase of Salazarism, focusing especially on the sixties, with the central figure of Joyce Lussu, among others, and her attention dedicated to the African poetic voices that contributed to the collapse of the regime. After this first stage of special relevance, we move on to the analysis of the successive phase, until the precipitation of the events that culminate in April 25 1974 that marks a generational change of the Italian figures involved, with the replacement of those who were heirs of the anti-fascist Resistance in favor of some young people belonging to the new left. The pessimistic voice of Pier Paolo Pasolini is incumbent on this turn, whose reading of the Carnation Revolution questions us in an unforeseen and somber way.
