Este trabajo analiza Los versos sáficos, el último LP de Christina Rosenvinge, cantautora y Premio Nacional de las Músicas actuales en 2018. La mayoría de las canciones surgen de la adaptación de la lírica conservada fragmentariamente de Safo, a través de las traducciones libres al castellano y al inglés de Aurora Luque, Pau Sabaté y Anne Carson. Otras se inspiran en la lírica de Safo de forma más libre. Se examinará tanto las dificultades que planteaba el proceso como el papel de este en el proyecto autorial de Christina Rosenvinge y su responsabilidad como antóloga, al estudiar, seleccionar y ordenar los textos inspirados o adaptados de Safo.
This article analyses Los versos sáficos, the latest LP by Christina Rosenvinge, singersongwriter and recipient of the National Prize for Contemporary Music in 2018. Most of the songs originate from adaptations of Sappho’s fragmentarily preserved lyrics, translated freely into Spanish and English by Aurora Luque, Pau Sabaté and Anne Carson. Others draw on Sappho’s poetry in a more interpretative manner. The study examines both the challenges posed by this process and its role within Christina Rosenvinge’s broader authorial project, as well as her responsibility as an anthologist – studying, selecting and arranging texts inspired by or adapted from Sappho.
