Este trabajo estudia la composición de los escolios de Aristófanes, prestando atención a las notas referidas a cinco tipos de texto propios de la tradición filológica de la Antigüedad: ediciones, comentarios (hypomnémata), catálogos, monografías y lexicografía. El estudio muestra la deuda que tiene la escoliografía aristofánica con las Filologías helenística e imperial, pero también descubre los focos de interés de los escoliastas medievales de Aristófanes.
This paper studies the composition of Aristophanes’ scholia, focusing on the notes that refer to five types of text belonging to the philological tradition of Antiquity: editions, commentaries (hypomnémata), catalogues, monographs, and lexicography. The study shows the extent to which Aristophanes’ scholia draw on the Hellenistic and Imperial philology but also reveals the main areas of interest of the medieval scholiasts on Aristophanes.
