Durante el periodo renacentista surgen comedias en las que, imitando las de la Antigüedad clásica, se invierten los roles de los personajes participantes, lo cual se refleja en las relaciones de poder entre padres e hijos, siervos y amos y hombres y mujeres. Este trabajo está centrado en las relaciones entre los sexos y pretende explorar cómo en este mundo alla rovescia los personajes femeninos, frecuentemente denostados, de la cortesana y la adúltera, utilizan la falta de honestidad para realizar sus deseos. También se examinará si este comportamiento es propio de una corriente filógina o misógina, hipotetizando sobre las intenciones de sus autores.
During the Renaissance, there were comedies that, imitating those of classical antiquity, reversed the roles of participating characters, particularly in the power dynamics between parents and children, servants and masters, and men and women. This work focuses on relationships between the sexes and aims to explore how, in this world alla rovescia, the frequently reviled female characters — the courtesan and the adulteress — use dishonesty to achieve their desires. It will also examine whether this behavior reflects a philogynous or misogynistic perspective, hypothesizing about the intentions of the authors.
