En este trabajo se muestra una panorámica de las perífrasis verbales de infinitivo con haber, tener y deber y sus valores en un corpus epistolar de 195 misivas escritas por mujeres nobles y religiosas al cardenal Granvela entre los años 1547 y 1561. Concretamente, nos ocuparemos de las estructuras perifrásticas con infinitivo deber (de), haber de, tener de, tener que y tener + INFINITIVO, que disfrutaron de un reparto complementario a partir del XV, pues podían presentar valores modales, epistémicos, temporales o no perifrásticos o pleonásticos; a estas añadimos el examen de las estructuras de carácter resultativo tener + PARTICIPIO. Con este análisis se pretende dilucidar qué dimensión de la variación determinaba el empleo de estas perífrasis: si son estructuras favorecidas por la cronología de los textos, por la adscripción dialectal de las escribientes o por el tipo de corpus, encuadrado en una tradición discursiva media.
This paper shows an overview of the periphrastic infinitival structures with haber, tenerand deber and their values in an epistolary corpus of 195 letters written by noble and re-ligious women to cardinal Granvela between 1547 and 1561. Specifically, we will deal with the periphrastic structures with infinitive haber de, tener de, tener que, tener y deber (de) + INFINITIVE, which enjoyed a complementary distribution from the XVth century onwards, since they could present modal values, epistemic values, as well as non-modal values, and, finally, non-periphrastic or pleonastic uses; to these we add the examination of resultative structures have + PARTICIPLE. The purpose of this analysis is to dilucidate which dimension of variation determined the use of these periphrases: whether they are structures favored by the chronology of the texts, by the dialectal adscription of the scribes or by the type of corpus, framed in a medium discursive tradition.
