L’article examina la relació que Marià Aguiló establí amb el personatge i l’obra de Ramon Llull, amb una especial atenció a tres punts principals: en primer lloc, els diversos camins pels quals Aguiló descobrí Llull, de la tradició mallorquina popular als estudis, sobretot, de Josep M. Quadrado i altres autors romàntics; la influència que Llull tingué en la seva obra poètica de joventut, i, finalment, els projectes d’edició de l’obra lul·liana en què Aguiló es veié implicat i en els quals tingueren un paper destacat dos altres intel·lectuals illencs, Jeroni Rosselló i Bartomeu Muntaner.
The article examines the relationship that Marià Aguiló established with Ramon Llull and his work, paying special attention to three main points: firstly, the various paths through which Aguiló discovered Llull, from the popular Mallorcan tradition to the studies of Josep M. Quadrado and other romantic authors; the influence that Llull had in the poetic work of his youth; and, finally, the projects for the publication of the Ramon Llull’s work in which Aguiló was involved and in which played an important role two other intellectuals from the islands, Jeroni Rosselló and Bartomeu Muntaner.
