Este artículo analiza la novela Chilco (2021), de la escritora chilena-mapuche Daniela Catrileo, a partir del prisma de lo espectral y su relación con la taxonomía del capitalismo tardío en el contexto latinoamericano. El objetivo es explorar la forma en que el sistema neoliberal actúa como fuerza espectral que subordina las condiciones de vida y codifica los cuerpos de quienes lo habitan. La metodología consiste en identificar las representaciones de esta lógica en la novela tomando en consideración las condiciones materiales del sujeto indígena en la época neoliberal. De esta manera, se pretende estudiar la configuración del cuerpo marginalizado e indígena como un tejido de flujos en que convergen espectros del capitalismo y colonialismo, el cual devine, a su vez, en un espectro que remite a las fuerzas históricas que lo marcaron.
This article analyzes the novel Chilco (2021), by Chilean-Mapuche writer Daniela Catrileo, through the lens of spectrality and its relation to the taxonomy of late capitalism in the Latin American context. The aim is to explore how the neoliberal system operates as a spectral force subordinating living conditions and codifying the bodies of those who inhabit it. The methodology involves identifying the modulations and representations of this logic within the novel considering the material conditions of the Indigenous subject in the neoliberal era. Thus, the study examines the configuration of the marginalized and Indigenous body as a fabric of converging flows—where the specters ofcapitalism and colonialism intersect—becoming, in turn, a specter itself that recalls the historical forces that have shaped it.
