Este artículo presenta un análisis de la relación entre espectralidad, memoria histórica y memoria rural en la literatura española contemporánea. Interrelacionando aspectos teóricos de las tres áreas, pretendemos argumentar la relevancia narrativa actual de lasfiguras fantasmales en los procesos ficcionales de recuperación de memoria histórica en los últimos años. El espectro, convertido en un comunicador entre dos mundos, bien a partir de su interrelación con los personajes, bien a partir de la enunciación directa hacia el potencial lector, ilumina zonas en sombra del relato hegemónico de la historia reciente de España y permite desenterrar hechos que han sido ocultados y silenciados por el poder franquista y postransicional. Para ello analizamos pequeñas mujeres rojas (2020),de Marta Sanz, y Paisaje nacional (2024), de Millanes Rivas.
This article presents an analysis of the relationship between spectrality, historical memory, and rural memory in contemporary Spanish literature. Interrelating theoretical aspects of the three areas, we intend to argue the current narrative relevance of ghostly figures in the fictional processes of recovery of historical memory in recent years. The spectre, converted into a communicator between two worlds, either through its interrelation with the characters or through its direct enunciation to the reader, illuminates shadowy areas of the hegemonic narrative of Spain’s recent history and allows us to unearth facts that have been hidden and silenced by the Francoist and post-transitional powers. To this end, we analyze pequeñas mujeres rojas (2020), by Marta Sanz, and Paisaje nacional (2024), by Millanes Rivas.
