El modo potencial sintético de los verbos sintéticos estar, ir y andar sigue vivo en Leitza. Gracias a los testimonios de gente de edad avanzada, hemos conseguido hacer una recopilación completa de los verbos sintéticos potenciales en todas sus variantes: el potencial presente, pasado e hipotético; las formas verbales del registro neutro y las del tuteo alocutivo (hitano), es decir, cuando el emisor se dirige al receptor como tú y eso se refleja en la forma verbal mediante la marca correspondiente.
The synthetic potential form of the synthetic verbs to be, to go, and to walk is still alive in the town of Leitza. Thanks to the testimonies of older people, we have managed to carry out a full compilation of the synthetic potential verbs in all their variants: the present, past, and hypothetical potential; the verbal forms in a neutral register, as well as the allocutive, to be used when we choose the «you» treatment (hi) that inflects the verb according to the gender of the conversation’s partner.
La forme potentielle synthétique des verbes synthétiques être, aller et marcher est toujours active à Leitza. Grâce aux témoignages de personnes âgées, nous avons pu réaliser une compilation compréhensive des verbes potentiels synthétiques dans toutes leurs variantes: le présent, le passé et le potentiel hypothétique, soit en formes verbales au registre neutre, soit en formes allocutives, à utiliser lorsque l’on choisit le tutoiement (hi) qui inscrit dans le verbe une marque du genre de l’allocutaire.
