El presente trabajo pretende visibilizar la labor de las mujeres impresoras de obras lingüísticas a lo largo de la historia del español, un papel históricamente silenciado, pero de gran importancia dentro de la historiografía lingüística. En concreto, se estudia un corpus de 172 impresoras, extraído de la "Biblioteca Virtual de la Filología Española" (BVFE) y de los cinco tomos de la "BICRES", y se lleva a cabo un análisis tanto cuantitativo (número y tipo de impresoras, variabilidad en la signatura, lugar y época de impresión, etc.) como cualitativo (tipología de las obras lingüísticas impresas en relación con el contexto histórico y cultural en el que surgen). Los resultados revelan una presencia significativa de la mujer en el mundo de la imprenta y subrayan la necesidad de seguir integrando y profundizando en el universo de lo femenino en la historia de la lingüística.
This article aims to make visible the silenced work of women printers of linguistic works throughout the history of the Spanish language—a role that has been historically marginalized yet remains fundamental to linguistic historiography. Specifically, this study examines a corpus of 172 printers identified through the "Biblioteca Virtual de la Filología Española" (BVFE) and the five volumes of the "BICRES". The research employs both a quantitative analysis (examining the number and type of printers, variations in imprints, and the geographical and temporal distribution of their work) and a qualitative analysis (exploring the typology of printed linguistic works within their historical and cultural contexts). The findings reveal a significant presence of women in the printing industry and underline the necessity of further integrating and exploring the feminine sphere within the history of linguistics.
