El argumento de un pueblo castellano que se disfraza de andaluz con la esperanza de recibir favores de los americanos, por sí solo, ofrece la oportunidad de ejercer varias recriminaciones sin gran esfuerzo. Sin embargo, será el aderezo musical, en el contexto de la evolución del género de la españolada que se supone que debía ser esta película, el que permita completar íntegramente un sugestivo esfuerzo hermenéutico.
Armed with humor and music, the directors of Welcome Mr. Marshall! succeed in misleading censors to carry out their main purpose: to criticize.
