Review of the book Son tus huellas el camino: Antonio Machado en la memoria poética del siglo XX (Madrid, Visor, 2025), by Araceli Iravedra Valea. This review examines Araceli Iravedra's Son sus huellas el camino: Antonio Machado en la memoria poética del siglo XX , a monograph tracing the posthumous reception of Antonio Machado across twentieth-century Spanish poetry. The volume brings together twelve revised essays and one new contribution, organized around the distinction between the sociological record of reception and the strictly lyric record of influence. The review highlights the book's methodological rigour, its revisionary readings of the Falangist liberal poets and the social-realist tradition, and its close analysis of figures including Leopoldo Panero, Blas de Otero, Ángel González, the novísimos, Antonio Colinas, and Luis García Montero. Particular attention is paid to the book's treatment of palabra en el tiempo as both poetic concept and living inheritance, and to its final reading of García Montero's "Colliure" as the epitome of a moral and aesthetic genealogy that traverses the century.
