El presente trabajo se propone traer a colación una reflexión sobre dos figuras tan emblemáticas como el traductor y el actor. Las consideraciones teóricas proceden de un análisis del contexto históricocultural en el que sus disciplinas nacen y se desarrollan: la traducción y el teatro. Pretendemos encontrar respuestas a preguntas como estas: “¿Y sí el traductor fuera como un actor que interpreta su texto? ¿Es posible definirlos como dos caras de la misma moneda?” Este es el punto de partida con el objetivo de encontrar una respuesta.
This paper seeks to bring to light a reflection on two emblematic figures such as the translator and the actor. The theoretical considerations come from an analysis of the historic-cultural background in which their subjects born and grow up: translation and theatre. The aim is answering to some questions such as: “And if the translator was like an actor who interprets his/her text? Is it possible defining them as two sides of the same coin?” This is the starting point with the aim to find out an answer to this issue.
