Este trabajo ilustra los motivos que impulsaron algunos viajeros árabes de los siglos XIX y XX a visitar los lugares más representativos de al-Ándalus, incidiendo en sus etapas de Edad Dorada, de decadencia o de renacimiento, desde una perspectiva alejada de los tópicos y centrada en el encuentro con el pasado desde la modernidad.
This work illustrates the reasons that urged some Arab travellers in the XIXth and XXth centuries to visit the most representative places of al-Ándalus, underlining its stages as a Golden Age, as a moment of decline or of rebirth, from a perspective far away from the usual topics, and looking at the past since modernity.
