    Este artículo pretende analizar la importancia del componente intercultural en la enseñanza de una L2 a personas inmigradas como camino a la integración y a la adquisición de una competencia comunicativa más eficaz a través de relaciones abiertas entre la cultura meta y la del alumno inmigrante así como mediante la negociación de significados. Por otro lado, se reinterpreta la figura del "mediador" como facilitador de la comunicación y resolución de conflictos".

    This articles aims to analyze the importance of the intercultural component in the teaching of a second language to inmigrant individuals as a means of achieving social integration and acquiring a more effective communicative competence through open relationships betwween the target culture and the inmigrant student's own native culture, as well as meaning negotiation. On the other hand, the rol of "intercultural mediator" is reviewed as a communication facilitator and his importance when solving conflicts.
