El siguiente artículo pretende demostrar la vitalidad de ciertos estereotipos sobre el mundo hispánico a través de las definiciones de los hispanismos modernos en los diccionarios de uso del italiano. La vigencia de los estereotipos como manifestación ideológica concreta emerge sobre todo en los préstamos referidos a los campos onomasiológicos de la política y la sociedad, donde pervive el tópico de la "leyenda negra" española y del atraso social de los países de habla hispana.
This paper represents an attempt to demonstrate the vitality of some stereotypes about the hispanic culture through the analysis of the spanish loan-words in the italian dictionaries. Stereotypes, as a manifestation of ideology, are specially able to be traced in the definitions of spanish loan-words related to the political or social life.
