  A. Bergnes de las Casas fou un excel·lent promotor de l'estudi del grec antic a la Universitat de Barcelona. Fou també filòsof, pedagog i editor dins el moviment romàntic català, i una fita important per a les Humanitats dels segles XIX i XX a Espanya. L'autor d'aquest article estudia un treball inèdit de Bergnes sobre la història de l'alfabet grec.

  A. Bergnes de las Casas was an outstanding promoter of the study of Ancient Greek at the University of Barcelona. He was also a philosopher, a pedagogue and a publisher within the Catalan Romantic movement and his contribution constitutes an important landmark for the humanities of the 19th and 20th centuries in Spain. The author of this paper studies an unpublished work of Bergnes on the Antiquity of the Greek Alphabet.
