Desde el punto de vista de la gramática textual, los mecanismos de cohesión, dominados por aspectos sintácticos, reflejan las relaciones existentes entre las distintas partes que constituyen un texto. Analizamos, por tanto, los mecanismos de cohesión en un documento canario de principios del siglo XVII, con la intención de compararlo con la versión actualizada del mismo texto y poner de relieve las diferencias que pueda haber en el español entre estos dos períodos separados por tres centurias.
As far as textual grammar is concerned, cohesion reflects the relation it exists between the different components that constitute a text. By studying this cohesion in a canarian document from the beginning of the 17th century, we intend to compare it with its updated version from the 21st century, and we also intend to emphasize the differences that could exist in the Spanish language between these two times separated by three centuries.
