This article attemps a thorough analysis of verbal form and function throughout the text of Lapidario. Examination of morphology and function of verbal syntagma in this text leads us to conclude that it fulfils the conditions of a text belonging to positive sciences. There is no complete verbal paradigm because of the lack of first person singular forms, the scarcity of second person forms and the rare use of the past tense, which are peculiar to narrative. However, the examples chosen allow us to verify that endings and uses are those general found in the XIIIth. Century.
