Nuestro humorismo, especialmente el practicado en los medios de comuni-cación, se ha visto afectado con la llegada del Lenguaje Políticamente Correcto (LPC), cuyos mecanismos (redenomina-ción a través de circun-loquios) e ideas básicas (los proble-mas sociales se arreglan en parte con soluciones lingüísticas) crean insegu-ridad en los hablantes, pero también son humorísticamente puestos en entredicho por estos.
The arrival of the Politically Correct Movement has certainly influenced our sense of humor, specifically hu-mor in mass media. The basic mecha-nisms of PC Language (renaming by circumlocution) and the movement�s fundamental ideas (social problems can be �fixed�, in part, with linguistic solutions) have not only caused speakers to hesitate, but also to make political correctness the target of their jokes.
