Cadiz, the speech; is an investigation of the phonemics, grammatical and lexical structures of the inhabitants of the city of Cadiz, Andalusia. The particular idiosyncrasy of Cadiz, in language and culture is unique inside Spain, and is due to factors of an historical and geographical nature. These can be traced through culture and language; in turn these factors determine and explain the culture and language of the natives of Cadiz. The study has been focused on all the aspects that compose the speech of the city, beginning with linguistic differentiation; how the Cadiz speech is distinctive, even inside the area of influence of the city, the province of Cadiz: Its phonetics, together with the characteristics that make it conspicuous, vocabulary and lexicon, idiomatic expressions, etc. The investigation yielded a wide range of results, whereas the most interesting for both linguistics and the general public is the phonetics of the city of Cadiz. Through structured interviews, open and close, it was possible to analyze phonetics using various computer instruments and resources, chief among them the "speech analyzer" software (SIL international). We come to the conclusion that the phonation of Cadiz is based principally on the pronunciation of consonants; the "seseo" is gaining prestige on the "ceceo", aspiration of the /s/ is constant in every plural word, the absence of phoneme /tf/, substituted by the phoneme /s/, typical of the city; voiceless consonants, "yeísmo" and consonant confusion. Concerning the vowels, there is considerable vocalic confusion and monophthongization, among many other aspects.
