En este trabajo la atención se centra en William Wilson, uno de los relatos breves de E. A.
Poe y, de forma particular, en la aparición en él del recurso literario y psicológico conocido como el doppelgänger. El tratamiento que Poe hace aquí de este recurso se toma como referencia para analizar creaciones de Anne Rice y Chuck Palahniuk que presentan esta misma característica.
This paper is focused on William Wilson, one of E. A. Poe’s short stories, and in a special way on the appearance in it of the literary and psychological resource known as the doppelgänger. Poe’s treatment of this resource is taken as a reference to analyse some works by Anne Rice and Chuck Palahniuk which also show this characteristic.
